Unit Description
THE HOUSES - Three apartments in two restored 17th-century farmhouses - Sleeps: 8+2, 6+2, 6+2. The houses are located near the towns of Castelfiorentino and Empoli, about 30 minutes from Florence. They are perched on a small hill with a lovely view of the countryside, about 1½ miles from a small village and the main road. All the houses have a swimming pool. Cotto floors, wood beamed ceilings and old stone have been preserved in their original forms. The rooms are very spacious with tall ceilings in both apartments, and many have large windows. The furnishings have been tastefully done, with an eye to quality. Kitchens are fully equipped with dishwashers, and each apartment has a washing machine. There is satellite TV and individual heating for each apartment. Maid service and a cook are available upon request. Casa Bini is ideally located for day trips in Tuscany and other parts of Italy. Florence is 30 minutes by car, Siena less than an hour. Lucca is about 45 miles via a nearby highway, and the sea can be reached in about 50 minutes. (Note: Most of the double bedrooms at Casa Bini can be made into twin bedrooms).
Apartment 2 (8+2):Living room with fireplace-Dining room-Eat-in kitchen-4 twin bedrooms-4 bathroomsThis apartment is on the first floor. It is reached via a stone staircase surrounded by walls with fresco decorations uncovered during the restoration. The living room is very spacious, with an original large elevated stone fireplace. Most of the floors are original. A couch in the living room opens to a double sofa bed.THE OUTSIDE
Swimming Pool. Outside space for dining. Areas for walking. Parking area for cars. The swimming pool is reached by a path down a hillside. Each apartment has its own area for outside dining. Most of the views are of the surrounding countryside.
