Camaiore Lucca
Description
At 2 kilometres, Capezzano is the nearest town but, for essential shopping, banks and chemists, Camaiore is also nearby. Camaiore is noted for its Romanesque churches: the Collegiata, Saint John and Saint Stephen, and the 8th century Badia dei Santi Benedetti. The riviera.s golden sandy beaches are lined up, a mere 6 kilometres away. Covered parking is accessed via double electric gates. A short walk and 15 steps leads up to the front door, outside which there is a wonderful purpose-built barbeque and furnished dining area with views. There are 15 steps up to the garden. The cottage is air-conditioned (at extra cost and payable locally) and there are insect screens on all windows.
Location
This area is in popular demand, and we are therefore delighted to have found this charming little cottage in the foothills of the Apuan Alps, just behind the Versilian Riviera. It is ideal for visiting such beach resorts as Marina di Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, and Viareggio. In creating this holiday hideaway for two people, the owner has thought of everything - from the special light-resistant curtains, to the outside canopies that, sensing high winds, automatically retract themselves. Set near to a 12th century fortress, the cottage is separate to the main house where the owner, and her friendly cats, live. A raised garden behind the cottage has an outside Jacuzzi for the exclusive use of guests so that they may, while enjoying their soak, take in the wide vista of the Versilian Riviera plain, spread out before them.
