Description

From the private car parking space within the grounds of the cottage, are two flights of steps built into the hillside to arrive to the house. It is simply but comfortably furnished and further, outdoor steps lead to a lovely furnished, illuminated terrace with a stone-built barbecue for dining outside under the shade of trees and enjoying a cool, mountain breeze. The terrace is also directly accessible from the bedroom. The delightful small city of Cortona is only five kilometres away for all self-catering requirements, and because of the mountain drive it is advisable to take a supply of necessities on the day of arrival. From Cortona, Lake Trasimeno and its fabulous opportunities for swimming and water sports can be reached by car in thirty minutes.

Location

Four kilometres of narrow, winding road leads up to Cottage Contadina at nine hundred metres above sea level. It is the highest of a small group of tiny, holiday cottages spaced out in the forest so is very private. From its own small, fenced garden it enjoys pockets of sun and shade, and between the trees are extensive vistas over the valley.
